About Us

V&V Macrame workshop

Our Story

At V&V, we firmly believe in the transformative power of tactile design. What began as a passion for the ancient art of fiber weaving has evolved into an international studio dedicated to engineering bespoke architectural textiles, outdoor shading structures, and handcrafted interior pieces.

Our journey started in November 2010 with a single spool of cord and a curiosity for macramé, a century-old knotting technique that we sought to reimagine through a modern, architectural lens. For several years, our workshop served as a creative incubator, honing techniques, experimenting with technical materials and crafting bespoke pieces for close collaborators and passion projects.

In 2021, V&V officially launched as an independent design brand. Built on the conviction that high-end handcraft could bridge the gap between traditional heritage and modern luxury design, we scaled our workshop to meet the rigorous demands of contemporary residential and commercial spaces.

Our international debut came in January 2023, when we exhibited for the first time at Maison & Objet in Paris. Presenting our handcrafted outdoor umbrellas, pergolas, and lighting to an international audience of architects, interior designers, and trade specifiers validated our vision. By 2026, our expanding footprint reached across the Atlantic, shipping our first major architectural installations to the United States and establishing a continuous year-over-year global expansion.

Today, V&V pieces anchor luxury boutique hotels, private coastal retreats, and high-end residential interiors across Europe and North America. Every knot tied in our studio remains a testament to technical excellence, material innovation, and human touch.
